A Bird’s Eye View AOMC Photography contest

HERE IS WHAT YOU DO :
If you are new to Birdhero, the very first step is to register, for free, and sign in on the home page.
Go to the Event page and read the details and take care of entry fee.
Then join this group (A Bird’s Eye View AOMC Photography Contest)
In the white box, enter your Paypal receipt number and the required information about the photograph – IMPORTANT do not use quotation marks in the description of your photo, for reasons unknown, the system will not share photos on Facebook with quotation marks in the text.
Click on camera icon and then click on “upload a file” and select your photo to upload.
Lastly, click on “add photos”
Now share on Facebook, Twitter and email! Encourage your friends to vote for you by having them click the “favorite” button under your photo. You and your friends must be logged-in for this functionality to work. The contestant with the most “favorite” clicks wins the 300.00 Peoples Choice prize! So get busy on your social media connections!

A Bird’s Eye View AOMC Photography contest 3 months, 1 week agoGreat Blue Heron & Baby: This was a very funny sighting, the baby’s curious nature resulted in a game of biting mom’s leg. This went on for quite a while, mom kept changing legs, picking them up & re-adjusting herself & baby continued to bite & nip. It was very entertaining & a joy to capture & share.

How did you clear out everything around the bird? Was it done in lightroom or photoshop? I need to take classes I think to get better. There are so many great photos here.

Susan – there is going to be a wildlife photography class on Saturday, March 9th at the Manatee Observation Center in Fort Pierce. Sponsors are the Manatee Center, St. Lucie Audubon and the St. Lucie Florida Master Naturalist Chapter. 9am-12noon and optional photo shoot at St Lucie Inlet State Park in the afternoon from 1-3pm. Hi, Susan – this photo was taken with a long lens at Merritt Island NWR which has large expanses of water allowing for close-ups with clear backgrounds. It was a cloudy day which rendered the sky and the water almost white. This can be accomplished in-camera with flash, fill-flash or by overexposing the image.
